About the Campaign

Crystals As Crowns is a multi-tiered, mixed media storytelling and cultural arts campaign seeking to reduce negative conceptions of self and low self-esteem among black youth by presenting empowering imagery of youth in control of their futures and rooted in a self-determined imagination, the “Crystal Mind.”

This campaign features 10 youth influencers from 10 diverse communities across the GTA and Hamilton and highlights their stories of resilience and how they’ve overcome barriers and life challenges. Through posters ads on the TTC, videos on social media and radio PSAs, this campaign will reach over 32,000 black youth in the GTA and Hamilton and over 530,000 people from diverse communities across Ontario.
